Woodlands Wellington v Dalian Shide Preview

Admin (Mon-Pari-Sportif.com)  - After successful back-to-back bets, and since not a lot is on tomorrow (well not a lot interesting to me anyway), I decided to put a small stake on Woodlands, as the well-established Singapore S-league outfit takes on newly-promoted side Dalian Shide.

I don’t know much about the newcomers and their players, apart from the fact that they have been defeated twice on their S-league debuts, but I expect Woodlands to win this one, especially after two disappointing results.

The 2007 mid-table side opened their campaign with a 2-1 defeat to last season bottom club Super Reds, quickly followed by a 2-2 home stalemate against Young Lions.

But for your information, Dalian Shide is a satellite team of the Chinese Super League club of the same name, its squad is mainly composed of the Chinese outfit youth team players. They have been invited to take part of the Singapore S-league campaign to replace the Liaoning Guangyuan Football Club, who finished 10th (out of 12) last season but was involved in some corruption charges.

Verdict: Woodlands will be keen to get the 3 points, and really kick off their campaign, against a side unused to the S-league. Asian Handicap -1.0 @ 2.05. I’m going for a small bet though.
