Saturday four-star bet
Admin (Mon-Pari-Sportif.com) - Let’s start this Saturday betting with a four-fold on a few teams more than capable of winning this weekend... Motherwell v Celtic No choice for Strachan and his men, following a disappointing goalless draw at home against Dundee United this week. Another slip-up would probably end the Hoops’ title hopes, as Rangers sit at the top of the table with a three-point cushion and a game in hand. Nakamura and McDonald both hit the post against Dundee United, but no doubt Celtic will make sure the ball goes in this weekend at Fir Park. Motherwell are having a more-than decent season (currently 4th), but although Celtic have lacked the cutting edge needed to close the gap on Rangers, the Glasgow side should have too much for them on Saturday. Verdict: Rangers are playing in the Scottish FA Cup this weekend, Celtic wont want to let another opportunity pass by, and leave their arch rivals with points and two games in hand. Celtic win. Aberdeen v Gretna Struggling Gretna, whose future is in doubt after benefactor Brooks Mileson withdrew his financial backing, have entered administration, and their weekend fixture was unsure to be played, only 10 players having confirmed their involvement on Saturday. But a full squad is now travelling up north, the rock-bottom side now set to field a number of under-19 players to face 8th-placed Aberdeen. Verdict: Home win. Winning margin of 2 goals or more @ 1.72 to take I reckon. Sunderland v Chelsea We go south to the English Premier League, with 16th Sunderland hosting Chelsea in what should be an entertaining game. With 7 wins in 14 home games, Roy Keane and his men are currently outwith the relegation zone, and the newly-promoted outfit could keep his place in the elite, should they maintain their outstanding home form. Apart from the absence of Petr Cech, who will be replaced by Carlo Cudicini, Avram Grant has a full squad to choose from, and an attractive attacking dilemma such as ‘Anelka or Drogba’ is, when you look at it, not much of a worry at all. Verdict: Sunderland are on their way down with 2 defeats and one draw. The Everton defeat of last weekend will be in their heads, but I don’t see them bouncing back against a free-scoring Chelsea squad. Energie Cottbus v Bayern Munich Bundesliga bottom side Energie Cottbus face the daunting task of hosting league leaders Bayern this weekend. Manager Bojan Prasnikar has probably a few headaches preparing his squad against the tightest defense of the league, and the suspension of Rost, and doubts over the fitness of Rivic and Papadopulos are not easing the coach’s task. Kahn, Ribéry, Altintop and Toni should be back for the visitors, having been rested during their side’s meaningless 1-2 defeat against Anderlecht, and no doubt the fresh Bayern stars will be eager to put their marks on the more-than-likely away win. Verdict: away win. Straight and easy for Bayern. Final Thoughts: Tempting four-fold @ 5.21.
