Leeds v Nottm Forest Preview
Admin (Mon-Pari-Sportif.com) - A bit of a gamble with the backing of Leeds United, as Gary McAllister’s men host 3rd-placed and hot-favourites-to-go-up Nottingham Forest, tonight at Ellan Road. It hasn’t been a walk in the park for the northern side, the club having failed to win any of their last five fixtures, including three defeats to Tranmere (0-2), Southend (1-0) and Doncaster (0-1). And things did not improve at the weekend, with United fans causing disorder before and during their club's clash with Northampton Town, which finished in a 1-1 draw. No need to say that the hosts will be looking for three points tonight against a Nottingham Forest also on the look for massive improvements away from home (only 4 wins in 14 encounters on the road). Neil Kilkenny and Frazer Richardson are back in contention for Leeds United, and tall striking ace Jermaine Beckford is available, having yet to be handed his suspension (picked up 5 cards). Nottm Forest have no real injury issues either, so we should see an entertaining game tonight at Ellan Road. Verdict: I’m gonna back up Leeds here. They are due to bounce back, and they remain the best team at home, while Forest are the second worst on the road out of the current top ten club. Leeds will be motivated for this one, especially as their chairman Ken Bates initiated High Court action in an attempt to see the 15-point penalty handed by the FA at the start of the term overturned.
