Kilmarnock v Rangers Preview
Admin (Mon-Pari-Sportif.com) - It’s back to domestic football for Walter Smith and his Rangers, as the Bears travel to Rugby Park to face Kilmarnock, shortly after their goalless home draw against Panathinaikos in the UEFA Cup this midweek. It always look like a David v Goliath fixture when the Old firm is involved, but this time, it might be even more the case. Kilmarnock are second bottom with only 22 units, and nothing has gone right this season for the hosts of tomorrow’s game. Poor defense, poor attack, and poor luck when badly needed. The Killies got trashed by Celtic 1-5 two weeks ago in the Cup, but had the chance bounce back by taking a point from their Fir park trip last week, but Motherwell managed to score a last-minute goal to deny them. Their last league win was in December 26th last year against Hibs, and I can’t see them going back to winning ways against Rangers, especially with the likely absence of Martyn Corrigan, and the definites ones from David Lilley (suspension), Eric Skora (knee injury), and Aime Koudou (released by the club). Walter Smith was highly criticized for bringing on Cousin ahead of prolific Kris Boyd against Panathinaikos, and we can expect the big man upfront tomorrow. Jean-Claude Darcheville is back, and except Steven Whittaker and Kevin Thomson, Smith’s got full squad to choose from. Verdict: Easy win for Rangers. I’m gonna go for a goal margin of two or more @ 2.30 in favour of the Ibrox men.
